One decision can make all the difference, originality is what I\u2019m after. <a href=\"mailto:info@bymaarten.com\">info@bymaarten.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>My practice is rooted in &#8220;de Arnhemse School&#8221;, where art is approached as a research-based discipline. Tectonic pre-study \u2014 analysis of construction, material, scale, and spatial coherence \u2014 guides the act of making, and form is always the result of a logical process.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>After graduating, I developed a fully autonomous practice. While I would welcome external commissions, they seldom come. Instead, I turned this situation into a method: self-initiated inquiries and internally defined assignments drive the work.
