My practice is rooted in “de Arnhemse School”, where art is approached as a research-based discipline. Tectonic pre-study — analysis of construction, material, scale, and spatial coherence — guides the act of making, and form is always the result of a logical process.

After graduating, I developed a fully autonomous practice. While I would welcome external commissions, they seldom come. Instead, I turned this situation into a method: self-initiated inquiries and internally defined assignments drive the work. Each piece emerges from its own evolving question, exploring scale, transformation, and spatial presence.

Humor remains an essential tool: lightly disorienting and relativerating, yet critical, it opens the work and connects it to broader societal questions.
